Ricky Reed

Ricky Reed, 50, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Marshburn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Reed was born July 19, 1963, in Welch, W.Va., to Elza Reed and Lila Jane Justice Reed. He was Warehouse Manager at Kimbrell’s Furniture for 11 years and a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Lori Blackwell Reed of the home; sons, Shaun Reed and wife Chellsey, Chris Reed and wife Kelley, and Austin Reed, all of Statesville; grandchildren, Tori King and Allen Reed all of Statesville; brothers, Doug Reed, Timmy Reed and wife Mary, all of Panther, W.Va., and Micky Reed and wife Debbie of Lexington; sisters, Bernice Cline and husband Bennett of Bluefield, W.Va., June Collins and husband Monroe, Susan Reed, both of Panther, W.Va., and Kathleen Reed of Lexington; mother-in-law, Doris Wood and husband, Tommy of Lexington; father-in-law, Jimmy Blackwell and wife, Peggy of Lexington.
