Ricky "Rick" Dean Taylor

Ricky “Rick” Dean Taylor, 64, of Lexington, passed away September 10, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 15, 2023, in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Emma Hylton officiating.  The Family will receive friends Thursday night from 5-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home.

Ricky was born December 28, 1958, in Davidson County, to James Fletcher and Lucy Altweeta Taylor. Rick loved to fish, hunt and a big fan of NASCAR, having worked at Fletcher Machine for 23 years, and at Carolina Container. His passion was his family and especially his grandchildren, Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kay Parks, brothers, Jimmy, Paul, Clint, and Curt Fletcher. And was of the Methodist faith.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 42 years, Kimberly “Kim” Gray Taylor of the home, sons, Matt Taylor and Brian Taylor and wife Montanna all of Lexington, grandchildren, Kameran and Riley Taylor, brother, Tony Taylor and wife Mary of Mountain City, NC, half-brothers, Ray and Gary Fletcher both of Lexington, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
