Ricky Dean Shoaf

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricky Dean Shoaf on July 28, 2025, at his home in Lexington, North Carolina. Born on April 4, 1968, in Lexington to Richard Arvil Shoaf and Patricia Diane Tysinger Shoaf. Ricky lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep love for his family and passions.

Ricky was known for his kind heart and the joy he found in simple pleasures. He spent his life in Lexington, where he built a career and a community around him. As a manager in the textile industry, he dedicated his professional life to Fisher Textile Inc.

Beyond his professional life, Ricky had a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies and interests. He loved to play golf, trying new recipes, and fishing. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his children. He was a devoted father, always present and supportive, whether it was a game of golf or just spending quality time together. Ricky was a man of faith and attended Mt. Carmel Methodist Church.

Ricky is survived by his son Matthew Shoaf, daughter Kendall Shoaf of the home; his father; his mother; his fiancé, Fran Jones; and his brother Bryan Shoaf (Lisa). He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who loved him.

A private visitation will be held for the family. A graveside service will be held  11:00 am Friday, August 1st at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Craig officiating services.

The family will recieve friends at the home of his parents.
