Rile Elwood Taylor, 79, of Riverwood Drive, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Health - Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hoyt Mason officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery, Salisbury. There will be no public visitation. Mr. Taylor was born October 6, 1933, in Seminole County, Ok, to Joel Taylor and Rose Wispertate Taylor. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church of High Point. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Art Taylor and Richard Taylor. Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Lamberth Taylor of the home; sons, Ret Taylor and Derek Taylor, both of Georgia; daughters, Teresa Morton, Medley Warren, both of Lexington, and Roxanne Moore of Gibsonville; four grandchildren, Camron Taylor, Lesle Blain, Ashley Moore, and Michelle Moore; three great-grandchildren, including his “little man”, Isaiah, Matthew and Kay-Lee Moore; and his canine companion, Selena.
