Rita Beamon

Rita Gale Moose Beamon, 52, of Gordontown Road, Lexington North Carolina died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at her home after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Clarksbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Sheffield officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church Mrs. Beamon was born February 26, 1958, in Davidson County, N.C. to Jesse James Moose and Peggy Porter Scott. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Cletus Scott. Surviving are her husband: George Beamon of Kernersville; one son, Shannon Thompson and wife Melissa of Lexington; one brother, Wayne Moose and wife Hilda of Lexington; two sisters, Sharon Everhart and husband Tim of Lexington, and Kathy Owens and husband Charlie of Welcome, three grandchildren; the father of her son, Barry Thompson and special friends, Rosa, Claira and Cope, a special thanks for all their love and help.
