Nannie, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Tuesday night, October 20, 2009.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Revs. David Shaffer, Lewis Johns, Chris Henderson and Ismael Ramos officiating. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service, Sunday, October 25, 2009, in the fellowship hall and other times at the home on Moore Drive.
Nannie was born December 26, 1924, in White County, In., to George Kochert and Elizabeth Albert Kochert. She was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church where she loved her church family and taught Sunday school for many years. In 1987 Mrs. Hobbs was ordained as a Deacon of her church. Mrs. Hobbs was retired from Family Dollar Store. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Ray Hobbs who died Oct. 30, 1976; two daughters, Kay Hobbs Leonard and Elaine Hobbs Littrell; and seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are daughters, Linda Hobbs Coble and husband, Wayne, and Theresa Hobbs Sinclair, all of Greensboro; five grandchildren, Frank Everhart and wife, Wendy, Kevin Leonard and wife, Mindy, Brian Everhart and wife, Misty, Carmen Grammer and husband, Erik, and Lori Askins and husband, Craig; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob Kochert.
