Rita Tidwell Isham

Rita L. Tidwell Isham, 79, of Arnold Road, Lexington passed away Thursday October 14, 2016 at her home.   A graveside service will be held 11:00am Monday October 17, 2016 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Langley officiating services.   No formal visitation will be held.   Mrs. Isham was born was born October 18, 1936 to James Aud Tidwell and Rose Ann Francis Tidwell in Marshall County Kansas. She moved to Wartburg Tennessee Morgan County, at an early age attended and graduated from Central High School and later graduated from The School of Cosmetology in Tullahoma Tennessee, while living in Winchester. She later had a beauty shop in Goodlettsville Tennessee before moving to Davidson County.  After moving to Davidson County she worked at Zimmerman’s Department Store for many years and later at Slim Solutions where she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as six brothers,; Max, Dean, Homer, Sydney, John, and Rex and one sister Betty.   Surviving is her husband, Curtis Eugene Isham of the home; one son, Duane Isham and wife Sarah of Lexington; one daughter, Janet Isham of Lexington; two sisters, Mary Jo Brewer and Louise Schubert, both of Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Lois Tidwell; three grandchildren, Brittany, Joseph and Lea; and three great-grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292.
