Rita Leftwich

Mrs. Rita Hall Leftwich, 60, of Hillview Drive, Lexington, died suddenly Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 21, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Rev. Vardis Rains officiating. Mrs. Leftwich was born April 19, 1948 in Forsyth County to James Herbert Hall and Rebecca Kirby Hall. She was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her sister, Donnie Small and her granddaughter, Lindsey Callahan. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Coleman Leftwich of the home; her daughter, Jamie Everhart and husband, Michael, of Lexington; her step-sons, Richard Leftwich and Michael Leftwich and wife, Angie, both of Lexington; her step-daughters, Crystal Waugh and husband, David, of Sparta, and Tonya Atwood of Alabama; her sisters, Martha Martin and husband, Richard, of Winston Salem, and Judy Chisholm, and husband, Ronnie, of Katie, Texas; and her special cousin, Debbie Findley and husband, Eddie, of Rural Hall; and her grandchildren, Braden Everhart, Xandria Everhart, Jordan Waugh, Nicholas Waugh, Jessica Leftwich, Chad Leftwich, and Terrin Rayburn. The family will receive friends at the home on Hillview Drive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, PO Box 1941, Lexington NC 27293.
