Rita McCoy Pardue, 68, of Lexington, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center.
There are no services planned at this time.
Rita was born February 5, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Vince Patrick McCoy and Oveta McDonald McCoy. She worked as a cafeteria worker at Welcome Elementary School and enjoyed knitting and birdwatching in her free time.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tommy Gorrell Pardue; son, Thomas Aaron Pardue; daughter, Angela Dawn Pardue Prock; brothers, Vince Patrick McCoy, Jr., Teddy Lee McCoy, and Greg Scott McCoy; sister, Tina Marie Lackey; and grandchildren, David Gorrell Prock, Tara Faye Prock, and Isabelle Parnell.
Memorials may be made in Rita’s memory to the American Lung Association.
