Robah “RJ” Junior Fishel, 88, of Clemmons went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Zane Fishel officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Fishel will lie in state from 1 pm until 2 pm prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Fishel was born in Forsyth County on June 15, 1932 to Robah Lee Fishel and Pearl Essick Fishel. He was a mechanic, having worked at Reynolds and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Fishel was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Joel Ray Fishel and Mark Edwin Fishel; a daughter, Kelly Ann Fishel; two brothers, Charles Fishel and Mickey Fishel; and two sisters, Lavelle Cooper and Wilma Essic.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Margie Leona Welch Fishel of the home; a son, Timothy Jay Fishel of the home; daughter-in-law, Cindy Fishel; three grandchildren, Heather Burnette (Wes), Andrea Sizemore (Brian), and Ryan Fishel (Megan); seven great-grandchildren, Tanner and Alex Sizemore, Eli, Isaac and Olivia Burnette, and Charlotte and Sarah Fishel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Union Grove Baptist Church at 2295 Union Grove Rd. Lexington, NC 27295.
