Robbie Young

Robbie Lee Young, 84, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

A private funeral service will be held in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.

Mr. Young was born in Davidson County on May 2, 1936 to Dewey Lee Young and Josephine Moody Young. He was a machine fabricator, having worked for Proctor & Schwartz and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Young was a loving father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Trexler Young; and a brother, Dermont Young.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Robbie “Lee” Young, Jr. (Diana) of Salisbury, William Joseph “Joey” Young of the home, and Luann Puckett (David) of Lexington; a brother, Jimmy Young of Denton; four grandchildren, Stephen Puckett (Kassie), Adam Puckett, Rebekah Lynn Secrest (Joshua), and Caleb Andrew Young; and a great-grandson, Henry David Puckett.
