Robert Harold Bailey

Robert Harold Bailey, 81, of Ashland Drive, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Lexington Health Care. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Marler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home. Mr. Bailey was born September 28, 1932, in Davie County, to Clarence Clark Bailey and Clettie Mae Waller Bailey. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle where he also was longtime caretaker of the church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; and son-in-law, Kenneth Passmore. Surviving are his loving wife, Ora Mae Shaw Bailey of the home; sons, Donald “Ralph” Bailey of the home and Michael Wayne Bailey and wife Pamela of Winston-Salem; daughter, Patricia Ann Passmore of Lexington; five grandchildren, Amy Lowry and husband Barry, Matthew Bailey, Joshua Alexander, Amber Alexander and fiancee Jason Caudle; and Kenny Passmore; great-grandchildren, Ava and Charlotte and Lorelei Lowry; brother, Glen Bailey of Ramseur; sisters, Judy Sherrill of Mocksville, Sandra Craver of Clemmons and Anita Myers of Dobson. Flowers will gladly be accepted and appreciated however, memorial donations may also be made to Lexington Health Care, 17 Cornelia Drive, Lexington, NC 27292.
