Robert Barnes

  Robert Franklin Barnes, 69, of Floyd Church Road, died Monday, February 13 at his home.    There will not be a public service, but the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on Floyd Church Road.    Mr. Barnes was born January 21, 1948 in Davidson County to J. C. Barnes and Artie Mae Thompson Barnes.  He retired from the City of Lexington and was preceded in death by his wife, Clydene West Barnes.    He is survived by his daughters, Angela Hayes (Keith) of Lexington and Sarah Spaugh (Paul), of Advance; Darlene Reed  (Sean)of Walktertown; his step-sons, Randy Robbins (Christie) and Larry Robbins, both of Lexington; his grandchildren, Sheldon Robbins (Hope) and Samantha Nichols and 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
