Robert Lee Beck, 58, of Redwood Lane, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at his home after declining health of three years.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Derek Boggs.
Mr. Beck was born in Guilford County on June 18, 1948, to Robert Governor Beck and Lorena Hill Beck. He was employed with Leggett and Platt of High Point and was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Marines during Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Bowers Beck of the home; three daughters, Kelly Mavropoulos and her husband, Dimitri, of Concord, Ashley Morgan and her husband, Dan, of Charlotte, and Cassie Hassan and her husband, Eslam, of Lexington; three grandchildren, Colby and Camben Mavropoulos and Maryem Hassan; and one sister, Bonnie Brown of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
