Robert "Bob" Leroy Honeycutt

Robert “Bob” Leroy Honeycutt, 61, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Miranda Lane officiating.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bob was born on May 12, 1962, in Davidson County, to Illa Cranshaw Honeycutt and the late Robert Honeycutt. He worked for Stanley as a machine operator and attended Freedom Baptist Church. Bob was a member and Finance Operator for State Sons of NC AmVets #13 and was the 3rd Vice Commander of The Sons of AmVets #13 of NC. He loved working with AmVets and was an ardent patriot and Trump supporter. Bob loved his family fiercely and always wanted everyone around on Sundays, which were the family days, when he would grill out and smoke meats to share with all who were there.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Brenda Madewell and Carol Ann; grandson, John Canady; and beloved fur babies, Hulkster and Rocky.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Alice Vance Honeycutt, of the home; mother, Illa Honeycutt of the home; sons, Christopher, of the home, and John Canady (Melissa), of Denton; daughters, Cindy Dockery, of Arkansas, Amanda Canady (Jo), of Lexington, and Tammy Hayes (Shane), of Arizona; brother, Billy Honeycutt (Martha), of Lexington; grandchildren, Daniel (Payton), Matthew, Taylor, Little Leroy, Kyle, Haven, Jack, Sage, Jaylynn, Christopher, Nicholas, Kelsey, Linda, and Craig; close friends, Bryan, Tommy, Jay, Scott and Steve; and precious fur baby, Spot.

Pallbearers attending will be Jay, Scott, Matthew, Daniel, Chris, Craig and Joe.

The Family would like to extend a special thanks to Lori and Melissa and Hospice of Davidson County, who went above and beyond with their care and support to both Bob and the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292.
