Robert "Bob" Palmer Miller

Robert " Bob" Palmer Miller, Jr, 73, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Revs. Vernon Peterson and Myra Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Salisbury with graveside military honors.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.   Mr. Miller was born on May 23, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to Robert Palmer Miller, Sr. and Pearl Leonard Miller, who preceded him in death.  He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was retired from Sealand Construction.   Surviving is his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Koonts Miller; sons; Robert Palmer Miller, III (Camille) of Wilmington, NC, Phillip ‘Max’ Miller (Terri); Eddie Yates (Belinda), both of Lexington; daughters; Staley Miller Burkhart (Keith) of Welcome, Susan Wright (Robert), Tina Yates, and Phyllis Sheehan (Bob), all of Lexington; sister, Joy Rader (Ron) of Lexington; 13 grandchildren, C.J., Cole, Tyler, Sam, Allyson, Dedra (deceased), Emily, Amber, Wesley, Ashley, Christopher, Philip and Grace and 11 great-grandchildren.   In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 902 S.
