Robert Edison Brinkley

Robert Edison Brinkley, 77, of Primrose Drive Ext., died Thursday, March 22, at High Point Regional Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Phillip Carter. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Brinkley was born April 25, 1929, to Daniel Webster Brinkley and Beulah Conrad Brinkley. He was retired from Stanley Furniture and was an avid fisherman and gardener who took great pride in his garden. Surviving are two sons, Lonnie Lee Brinkley and his wife, Carolyn, Gary Brinkley and his wife, Suzie, all of Lexington; and one daughter, Kaye Myers and special friend, Dale Richardson, of Lexington; two brothers, Daniel Webster Brinkley and Tommy Brinkley; and four sisters, Ruth Greene, Helen Evans, Mary Heitman, all of Lexington, and Barbara Sumner of Jamestown; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
