Robert Brown

Robert “Buddy” Mervin Brown, 64 of Lexington, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Mr. Brown will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7 ^th from 12:00pm until 5:00pm.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those attending should practice social distancing and wear a face covering.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 8 ^th at Grace Alliance Church Cemetery with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating.

Mr. Brown was born on February 17, 1956 in Davidson County to Robert Lee Brown and Lucille Strother Brown.  He retired after 30 years from the Davidson County Sheriff’s office and worked 12 years as a tactical instructor for the NC Department of Corrections.  He loved his job training others and talking with anyone he met.  Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary “Susie” Callahan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Sherry Allred Brown, of the home; sister, Joyce Johnson of Wilmington and several nieces and nephews.
