Robert Clonch

Robert William Clonch, 64, of Lexington, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Open Door Baptist Church, where he was a member, by Pastor Gary Gilson. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Clonch was born June 4, 1942, in Yadkin County to Richard Thomas Clonch and Lexie Elizabeth Roberts Clonch. He was in the upholstery business for 45 years. He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Clonch, Ronnie Clonch, Larry Clonch and Ray Clonch, and two sisters, Hazel Whitehead and Willie Nappier. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Judy L. Clonch of the home; three sons, Robert Clouch Jr., James Clonch and his wife, Kathy, and John Clonch and his wife, Debra, all of Lexington; one daughter, Linda Clonch Hansen and her husband, Dean, of Utah; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O.
