Robert Lawrence Coykendall

Robert Lawrence Coykendall, age 64, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, North Carolina.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Doug McGee officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born on April 29, 1961, in Galion, Ohio, Robert was the son of the late Alvin Coykendall and Bernice Osborn Coykendall. He made his living as a self-employed drywall installer and was a faithful attendee of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents as well as several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce McDonald Coykendall of the home; his stepdaughter, Samantha Moore; and his brother, Doug Coykendall.

Robert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and the love he shared with his family.
