Robert (R.G.) Daniels, Jr., age 92 of Koontz Road, Lexington passed away Sunday at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living, in Clemmons.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Forest Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no public visitation, family at their respective homes.
R.G. was born in Forsyth County, May 30, 1921 to Robert G. Daniels, Sr. and Zella Byerly Daniels. He was a member of Yadkin College Baptist Church and a retired self-employed carpenter. He was a veteran of the US Army having service as an MP during World War II.
Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Robbie Jarvis; sisters Nancy Freedle and Opal Hinson; brothers, Glenn, James and John Daniels.
R.G. is survived by his wife; Iva Everhart Daniels of the home; daughter, Pat Jarvis (Bob) of Lexington; son, David Daniels (Patty) of Lexington; grandchildren, Robert Daniels, Angela Micolucci, Brenda McElrath, Scott Burkhart and Wendy Browne; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Barrier of Churchland and Dot McMahan of Lexington; brothers, Ted and Joe Daniels of Lexington, Clint Daniels of Clemmons, Grover Daniels of Florida and Jack Daniels of Virginia.
