Robert Eugene Smith, 53, of Old Hwy 64 W., Lexington passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 in Forsyth Medical Center after a three day illness. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry King officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Smith was born July 7, 1963 in Davidson County to Charlie J. Smith and Dorothy Mauney Smith. He was employed with Walmart. Preceding him in death was his parents, a brother, Charles Smith and a sister, Margaret Lawson. Surviving are his wife, Debra Habich Smith of the home; two sons, Shannon Smith (Angie), John Blair both of Lexington; two daughters, Lorann Schmidt, Christy Stroud both of Lexington; two grandchildren, Robert Michael Blair and Dana Lynn Blair; four brothers, Fred Smith, Dewey Smith, David Smith (Doris), Rocky Smith (Deborah) all of Lexington; two sisters, Mary Coffey (Donald), Brenda Smith all of Lexington; and two nephews, Donald Oldham, Jr. and Rocky Smith, Jr. Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
