Robert Elwood "Woody" Everhart

Robert Elwood “Woody” Everhart, Jr., age 64 of Winter Place, Lexington passed away Sunday (August 14, 2011) at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center in Winston Salem. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (August 17, 2011) at Second Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Joe D. Coltrane officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday Night and at other times at the home. Robert was born in Davidson County, March 24, 1947 to Robert Elwood Everhart, Sr. and Ruth Allen Everhart, Sr. He was a former employee of Tube Tex for 13 years and worked for Southern Services Roofing for 20 years. He was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sandy Everhart and Suzanne Sexton. He is survived by his wife, Leda Jester Everhart of the home; two daughters, Dee Dee Carpenter and husband, Ray, of Mocksville and Lesley Wright and husband, J.B., of Indian Land, SC; and one granddaughter, Taylor Carpenter.
