Robert Dale Fritts, 82, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Tabor UCC, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Dr. Bart Milleson officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
Dale was born on March 28, 1943, in Davidson County, to the late Lloyd Franklin Fritts and Helen Johnson Fritts. Upon graduation from Lexington Sr. High School, he joined the Army National Guard and proudly served his country. He then went on to work for PPG until his retirement and was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ.
Dale was known for his love of the outdoors, and he enjoyed spending time in nature by fishing, hunting, and even taking care of yardwork around the house. He built a beautiful life with his wife of 56 years, Janice, and was devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His legacy will continue to live on through his family.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved son, Mike Hedrick.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife and son, Janice Fritts and Todd Fritts of the home; two grandchildren, Meredith Huffman (Josh), and Matt Hedrick (Alicia); five great grandchildren, Zy, Jordan, Easton, Elliot, Nolan; and one great great grandchild, Saylor.
