Robert Gooding

Robert Gooding, age 68 of Cow Palace Road, Lexington passed away Sunday evening, May 21, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House.  Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Tyro United Methodist Church, where he was a member with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 until 3:30 PM prior to the service.  Robert was born in Charlottesville, VA to Hildray Gooding and Grace Coppedge Gooding. He was a graduate of University of Richmond. He was a former Plant Manager in the furniture industries and retired from the Maintenance Department of Davidson County Schools.  Surviving are his wife, Betty Lillard Gooding of the home; daughter, Ginger Stovall (Kevin) of Linwood; son, Benji Gooding and special friend, Nikki; grandchildren, Macie, Macon, Motlei and Phifer Stovall, Grace and Faith Gooding.  Memorials may be made to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC  27295
