Mr. Robert Gray Spicer, 89, passed away on Friday August 28, 2026, at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living in Clemmons. He was born on August 14, 1937, in Forsyth County to Otis Burrette Spicer and Clide Alma Anders Spicer.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Tuttle Spicer, and grandson, Rob S. Young.

He is survived by his daughters, Teri Spicer Leonard (Dean) and Tina Spicer Gregory; three grandchildren, Brandi Leonard D’Souza, Brooke Leonard Cresswell, and Kayla M. Gregory; and eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Mason and Olivia D’Souza, Noah and Eli Cresswell, Braelee, Lacie and Harlow Boles; and brother, Alvin Lee Spicer (Barbara).

Robert retired as a truck driver from United Parcel Services. He was an active member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Midway before his declining health. Robert also served in the US Navy, as a Radarman Third Class (RD3) corresponds to Petty-Officer rating, serving on the USS Jack W, Wilke (DE-800). He loved bowling, the beach, playing golf, racing, and going to car shows, his favorite car was the Corvette. Robert also cherished his time with his church family.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Midway with Pastor Richard Carter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at the church from 1: Pm until 2: pm, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Oak Forest United Methodist Church building fund 11461 Old Hwy 52, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Spicer family.
