Robert Samuel Hodges

Robert Samuel Hodges age 83 of Clemmons passed away Monday January 16, 2012 at Salem Terrace Assisted Living. A graveside service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Arcadia United Methodist Church with Rev. Darrin Everhart. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Enterprise Masonic Lodge 752 AFAM. The family will receive friends after the service in the church. Robert was born June 12, 1928 in Surry County to James Samuel Hodges and Lucy Parker Hodges. He was a former owner of Piedmont Insurance Agency. A member of Arcadia United Methodist Church and Enterprise Masonic Lodge 752 AFAM. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Bettie Hutchens Hodges. Surviving are his sons; David Hodges and wife Sandy of Clemmons and Steve Hodges and wife Becky of Lexington. His brothers; Talmadge Hodges and wife Ethel of Winston Salem and A.J. Hodges, his sister; Launa H. Pounds and husband Dick of Advance. His grandchildren; Drew Hodges, Eric Hodges, Keri Freedle and husband Chris and Brent Hodges. His great grandchildren; Dylan Freedle and Lacey Freedle.
