Robert Kennon Jr., 87, of Lexington passed away Wednesday Morning May 4, at Hinkle Hospice House after a period of declining health. Funeral service will be Saturday May 7, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home with Rev Herman Powell officiating. Burial will follow the service in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday May 6th at Davidson Funeral Home. Robert was born in Guilford County on June 30, 1928 to Robert Kennon Sr. and Mamie Worsham Kennon. He was retried from Burlington Furniture and a member of God’s Saving Grace Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Carrell Kennon, daughters, Vicky Hassett and Jane Muse; sister, Frances Hill; and brother Curtis Kennon. He is survived by, son , Robert Samuel Kennon of Lake Mary FL; grandchildren Joshua Kennon and wife Rachel of Myrtle Beach SC, Christine Veerabattani and husband Srikanth and their son Jonathan of Fern Park FL ; sister, Doris Ellis of Lexington .
