Robert Hill Kepley

Robert Hill Kepley, age 91 of Lexington passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Luck officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Robert was born in Lexington, NC June 18, 1928 to William Robert Kepley and Mattie Hancock Kepley. Robert was the Assistant Chief of Police when he retired in 1983 with 31 years of service. He was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Mark Stephen Kepley and teenage son, Tod McKinley Kepley and all of his six siblings.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean Owens Kepley; sons, Kent Kepley (Cindy) and Tad Kepley (Elizabeth) both of Lexington; daughters, Susan Calloway of Albemarle and Jane Ann Kepley of Greensboro; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Second Reformed United Church of Christ, General Fund, 330 North Church Street, Lexington, NC  27292
