Robert William Lanning, age 62 passed away Sunday morning at his residence after 7 months of declining health.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday (August 1, 2014) in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. David Kolb and Rev. Charlie Patrick
officiating. There will no public visitation.
Robert was born in Davidson County, October 3, 1951 to George Everett and Virginia Michael Lanning. He was employed with J.K. Cecil and Son for 40 years and Yates Grading and Paving for 3 years.
Surviving are, his wife, Sandra Bell Lanning of the home; daughter, Jamie Hunt of Lexington; step-daughter, Dina Sanderson (Darrell) of Miamisburg, Ohio, step-son, Mark Davison of Lexington; grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis, Ally, Ashlyn, Amanda and Kyle; sisters, Laine Walser and Rhonda Money (Jimmy) all of Lexington; brothers, Ed Lanning (Gail), Luke Lanning and Billy Lanning all of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and close friends that he loved.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Davidson County and his care givers for their kindness and loving care during his illness and a special thank you to Amanda Fulp.
