Robert Lee Leonard, Jr., 76, of Eastside Drive, Lexington, died Saturday, April 29 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 3 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bea Edwards Copeland. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. He was born August 2, 1929 in Davidson County to Robert Lee Leonard, Sr. and Pauline Smith Leonard. He was married to Mozelle Perrell Leonard who survives of the home and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a 1947 graduate of Lexington Senior High School. He was a past member of Lexington Jaycees and Davidson County Rescue Squad. He was a retired supervisor with Burlington Furniture and an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mozelle Perrell Leonard of the home; his sons, Craig Leonard & wife Pattie of Lexington; Perry Leonard & wife Sherry of Swansea, SC; his daughters, Leigh Leonard Swicegood & husband Mike of Lexington; Dawn Leonard Robertson & husband William of Raleigh; his grandchildren: Brandi, Meagan & Matthew Leonard, Hannah Swicegood, Charles & Lindsey Robertson, Ginger Fritts Tysinger & husband Bradley; his great grandchildren: Millicent & Avery Grae Tysinger; his brother, Brice Leonard & wife Jean of Lexington; and his sister, Joann Reed & husband Gene of Titusville, FL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jean Morrow Scholarship Fund, % Second Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1334, Lexington, NC 27293 or Davidson County Rescue Squad
