Robert Marion

Robert Eugene Marion, age 75 of Green Meadows Drive, Lexington died Monday, May 10, 2010 in Brookstone Retirement Center. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Chaplain John Smith officiating. Mr. Marion was born March 2, 1935 in Davidson county to Elbert Byerly Marion and Gracie Leona Hill Marion. He was a self employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death was his parents and his companion of 33 years who died seven months ago, Hilda Austin. Surviving are three sons, Ricky Marion of Walnut Cove, Michael Marion of Walkertown, Tony Marion of Lexington; a daughter, Carolyn Shaw and husband, Bobby of Linwood; step-daughter, Diane Bragg, step-son, Toby Austin both of Lexington; five granddaughters, Amy, Tabitha, Tamara, Angela, Pamela and a step-sister, Linda Hege
