Robert Moody

Robert P. Moody, 79, of Sunnyside Drive, died Monday, May 05, 2008, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Larry Peterson. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mr. Moody was born May 3, 1929, in Davidson County, to Ransom Moody and Lona Belle Link Moody. He was retired from Stanley Furniture; attended Galilee Baptist and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Jane Thomason Moody of the home; a son, Ricky Moody of Lexington; a daughter, Cathy Everhart and husband, Pete, of Lexington; grandchildren, Michelle Martin and husband, Wesley, of Lexington, Christy Smith and husband, Jason, of Welcome, and Tammy Haga and husband, Chris, of Winston-Salem; great-grandchildren, Hannah Martin of Lexington, Wesley Martin Jr. of Advance, Abbie Leonard, Kelcie Smith, Gavin Smith, all of Welcome, Emma Everhart, Cayla Haga, Kristen Hage and Robert Haga, all of Winston-Salem; and a brother, Elder James Moody and wife, Mary Ruth, of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Kate B.
