Robert Lamar Motes

Robert Lamar Motes, 72, of Richard Rd., Lexington passed away Monday, September 11, 2017.   A funeral service will be held 3: PM, September 14, 2017 at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Duncan officiating.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.   Mr. Motes was born October 10, 1944 in Cabarrus County to Marcus Lindsey Motes and Repta Bracewell Motes.  He was a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church and a former employee of PPG. Preceding him in death besides his parents, was two brothers, Albert Motes, Harold Motes and a sister, Lorraine Wagner.   Surviving is his wife, Judy Tysinger Motes of the home; a son, Larry Alan Motes (Deena) of Lexington; a daughter, Linda Motes Payne (Tracy Williams) of Denton; four grandchildren, Jesse Motes, Lindsey Motes, Courtney Payne, Kyle Payne; and a sister, Louise Ballinger of Kansas.   In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cotton Grove United Methodist Church, 175 Jersey Church Rd., Lexington, NC 27292.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
