Robert (Jay) Jasper Perryman, 89, of Cecil Road, Lexington, died Saturday August 8, 2015 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday August 12, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Welcome, where he was a member, with the Rev. Mark Blair officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at the home on Cecil Road.
Mr. Perryman was born February 1, 1926, in Davidson County, to Cap O. Perryman and Eliza Shoaf Perryman. He was retired from R.J Reynolds. he was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of the Amvets in Clemmons. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Billie Yokeley Perryman; one brother Howard Perryman; and two sisters Esther Perryman Yokeley and Ruby Perryman Smith.
Surviving are one son, Jimmy Perryman and wife Patricia of Lexington; one daughter, Theresa Reid and husband J.W. of Lexington, six grandchildren, Buffey Klein and husband Tim of Lexington, Robert Reid and wife Shawna of South Carolina, Misty Childress and husband Chad, Jamie Perryman, Chris Perryman and wife Sarah and Amy Battle and husband Dave, all of Lexington; and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Janie Walser, Judy Sell, Robyn Schultz, Carolyn Mize, and Linda Scott for their loving care.
