Robert "Pops" James Paris, Sr.

Robert James Paris Sr., “Pops”, 72, of American Way, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Paris was born March 25, 1942, in Queens, NY, to George Paris and Rose Marie Denise Paris. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a truck driving instructor for Davidson County Community College prior to his retirement. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Mickey Cameron; and great-grandson, Noah Ludwig. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years Michelle Pascaud Paris of the home; sons, Robert James Paris Jr. of Winston-Salem, Maurice George Paris and wife, Dawn, Dominique Louis Paris and wife Ida, all of Lexington, and Danny Paris and wife Karla of Archdale; daughters, Marie-Christina Fulk of Welcome and Patricia Paris Spiegel and husband Dennis of Lexington; 18 grandchildren, Robert James Paris III, Alexander Louis Paris, Joseph Alain Paris, Daniel Brandon Fulk, Christopher Lee Fulk, Stephanie Nicole Fulk, Dallas Michele Paris, Natasha Marie Paris, Shelby Madison Paris, Daniel Alain Paris, Jr., Jason Maurice Paris, Samantha Elizabeth Paris, Ashley Sarah Grace Paris, Deitra Baker, Tony Paris, Austin Paris, Joyce Ludwig, Crystal Curry; and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob Palmer, McKenna Fulk, Thailan Fulk, Keagan Fulk, Emerson Norris, Nathaniel Aldridge, and Evelynn Aldridge. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 619 South Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292.
