Robert Lee Sawyer, Jr.

Robert Lee Sawyer, Jr., 76, of Asheboro went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Randolph Hospice House.

A private burial will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Sawyer was born in New Bern, NC on July 27, 1944 to Robert Lee Sawyer, Sr. and Ada “Elsie” Rhue Sawyer. He was a loving brother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Lewis Sawyer and James Sawyer, Sr.; and a sister, Ada Cuthrell.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, George “Al” Sawyer and wife Vivian of Lexington.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Turner House in Greensboro and the Providence Group Home in Asheboro for their compassion and care for Mr. Sawyer over the past seventeen years.
