Robert Eugene Seaman, 82, of Oak Avenue, died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at his home.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Kindom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 130 Fuller Street, with Mark Wisniowski officiating.
Mr. Seaman was born June 11, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa., to Ralph George Seaman and Katherine Evansberger Seaman. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on December 30, 1972. He was known as an avid Bible student who held dear the words of Psalms 119:97 “How I do love your law! All day long it is my concern.” His deep spirituality made him the loving man that we all adored. His love of Jehovah God compelled him to share Bible truths with all he met. Mr. Seaman moved to Lexington in 1980 and Co-founded Seaman’s Door Service, Inc. in 1981 with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, whom he married on June 30, 1953, Eileen Rebecca Sams Seaman of the home; sons, Robert “Skip” E. Seaman Jr. and wife, Terri, of Lexington. James R. Seaman and wife, Betty, of South Dakota; daughter, Sandra Carpenter and husband, David, of Wooster, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Barry Seaman and wife, Sandy, of Johnstown, Pa.; and sister, Connie Hust and husband, Bill, of Chicago, Ill.
