Robert Eugene Sears, Jr.

Robert Eugene Sears Jr., 55, of Allen Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a brief illness. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at National Cemetery, Salisbury. Mr. Sears was born Sept. 6, 1952, in Lake County, Ohio, to Robert Eugene Sears Sr. and Virginia Wilson Sears. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed at PPG. Mr. Sears was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Davis. Surviving are his parents of Newark, Ohio; two sons, Zachery Sears and his wife, Jamison, and Jacob Sears, all of Lexington; two daughters, Amie Sears of Charlotte and Bobbie Sears of Lexington; a granddaughter, Katelyn Sears; two brothers, Tim Sears and his wife, Donna, and Doug Sears and his wife, Suzanne, all of Ohio; a sister, Brenda Miller and her husband, Larry, of Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Don Davis of Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.
