Robert William Smith

Robert Smith age 67 of Siouan Drive, Lexington NC went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 14, 2023 with family by his side.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 20, 2023 at Calvary Family Worship Center with Pastor Bill O’Neal officiating. A burial will follow at Forest Hill Mausoleum.

The family will receive family and friends Sunday, February 19, from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.

Robert was born June 6, 1955, in Roanoke, Va. to Richard Henry Smith and Virginia Mowbray Smith. As a child he worked on the horse farm, showed horses, worked in the grocery business at Kroger and was a store manager with Food Lion until Robert owned his own grocery store, South Lexington Supermarket. Robert also sold commercial food equipment and was instrumental in helping others start their local businesses. His passion was spending time with family, hunting, cooking with his special BBQ sauce and sharing his knowledge with others. He was a member of Calvary Family Worship Center and is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack Smith, and Michael Henry Smith.

Surviving are his wife Dolores Smith of the home, son Jonathan Inman (Emily), children Emma Culler, Theodore Inman, son Charles Inman (Karen), children Macy Inman, Elliott Inman, sister Linda Hudson (Dennis), brother Steve Smith (Lauren), sister in-law Karen Smith.
