Robert Dale Spencer

Sunday, November 8, 2009 our hero Robert Dale Spencer 47 of Old Hwy 52 became one of God’s Angels. After a courageous battle with cancer, he left this world peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Faith Missionary Alliance Church with the Rev. Paul Titus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Robert was born December 24, 1961 in Forsyth County to Marvin Clay and Margaret Harris Spencer. He was employed with Tyco and attended First Alliance Church. He is survived by his parents, his wife Dawn Lyon Spencer of the home; three sons, Taylor, Garrett and Samuel also of the home; two sisters, Tina Williams and husband Doug of Mocksville and Teresa Jessup and husband Greg of Winston-Salem and his beloved dachshunds, Lilly, Chloe, Zoey and Alvin. Robert loved fishing with his boys and riding his motorcycle with his friends and fellow employees from Tyco. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in care of Dawn Spencer for the boys financial needs @ 378 Payne Road, Lexington, NC 27292. The family would like to express their gratitude to the 9th floor oncology at Forsyth Medical Center and the staff at the Hospice home for the care they gave to Robert and his family. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
