Robert William Spittel

Robert William Spittel, age 63, of Lexington, passed away Thursday at his residence after a period of declining health. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January, 18, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jay Belk. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Robert was born December 30, 1950 in Greene County, to Robert George Spittel and Bettie Eakes Spittel. Before his illness he was employed in sales, and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brandon Spittel on August 4, 2012 and his sister Linda Underwood. He is survived by his wife Beverly Douglass Spittel of the home; brother in law, Jimmy Underwood, of Greensboro, and niece Angie Underwood, of Washington D.C.
