Robert Michael Widener

Robert Michael Widener Sr., 62, of Ridge Road, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at his home. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 and other times at the home. Mr. Widener was born September 7, 1953, in Mecklenburg County, to Robert C. Widener and Nancy Oaks Cecil Haley. He was a supervisor for JS Clark Construction for several years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Haley; and a brother, James Haley Jr. Surviving are his loving wife, Sharon Swicegood Widener of the home; son, Robert Widener Jr. and wife Pamela of Lexington; daughter, Sabrina Widener of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; stepson, John Baker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; stepdaughters, Tammy Phillips and husband Danny of Lexington and Christina Swicegood of Oakridge; mother, Nancy Haley of Lexington; and sister, Cecilia Hedrick of Lexington.
