Roberta Ellen Swicegood Jones

Roberta Ellen Swicegood Jones, 56, of J&Q Lane, died suddenly Thursday, April 30, 2009, at her home. The funeral will be at 2:00 PM Monday (5-4-2009) at Psalm 91, with the Revs. Roy Queen and Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Jones was born April 3, 1953, in Forsyth County, to Willie Adam Swicegood and Dorothy Earp Swicegood. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was a former director at Hilltop Living Center and a member of Psalm 91 church. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Douglas Queen. Surviving are her husband, Claude Edward Jones of the home; daughters, Tammy Smith of Linwood, Reva Ann Queen and husband, Douglas, and Margaret Jones, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Trevor Adam Smith, Lauren Ellen Smith, Tiffany Ann Hunt, Emily Renee Queen, Matthew Ryan Queen; and brothers, Charles David Childress and wife, Barbara, of Reeds, and Walter Franklin Childress and wife, Susan, of Southmont. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the residence.
