Roberta Mills Smith

Roberta Mills Smith, age 75 of Hendersonville, TN formerly of Lexington passed away Friday (June 25, 2010) at the home of her daughter. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday (June 29, 2010) at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Howell, 3rd and Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday. Roberta was born in Danville, VA May 15, 1935 to Otha Arnold Mills and Shirley Lee Clayton Mills. She was a retired employee of Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years and a former member of the choir. She was Past President of the Civinets and Parents without Partners. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Wesley Smith, Sr., her twin brother, Robert Arnold Mills, half sister Thelma Owen and half brothers, James and Ralph Owen. Surviving are; one daughter, Donna Smith Taddeo and husband Trell of Hendersonville, TN; one son, Don Wesley Smith, Jr. and wife Staci of Gallatin, TN; one grandson, Tanner Owen Taddeo of Hendersonville, TN; four sisters, Joyce Davis DeMent and husband Ernie of Salisbury, Frances Rosser of Norfolk, VA, and Sidney and Nancy Foltz both of Raleigh.
