Mr. Roby Butler Hedrick, 79, of Bud Sink Road, died Saturday, November 6 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 10 at Union Grove Baptist Church, by the Revs. Ken Harris, and T. W. Bailey. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, and other times at the home.
Mr. Hedrick was born October 9, 1931 in Davidson County to John Butler Hedrick and Viener Mae Tysinger Hedrick. He retired from Thomaville Furniture after 28 years and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Essick Hedrick, of the home; his sons, Charles Butler Hedrick of High Point, Steven Irvin Hedrick and wife, Lona Townsend, of Hickory, Ricky Dale Hedrick, and wife, Vickie, and Eugene Franklin Hedrick and wife, Marla, and Barry Wayne Hedrick and wife, Jeannie, all of Lexington; his daughters, Helen Louise Medlin, and Rose Marie Landreth and husband Jim, both of Lexington; his sisters, Claytie Crotts, Edna Sue Berrier, and husband, Boyd, and Wilma Leonard, and husband, Henry, Angela Gail Hedrick all of Lexington; fifteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
