Rodney Lynn Duke

Rodney Lynn Duke, 57, of Ed Rickard Road in Lexington, died Friday January 20, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.   A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Davis officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel    Mr. Duke was born October 31, 1959 in Iredell County to Clyde June Duke and Rachel Gregory Duke. He was a member of Light House Baptist Church and employed with Smith Millworks in Lexington.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Norma Campbell.   Surviving are wife, Kathy Duke, of the home; three daughters, Jennifer Koonts and husband Brian, Cindy Higgins and friend John Leonard, and Wendy Duke and friend Joey Walser all of Lexington; three brothers, Michael Duke, Ronnie Duke and wife Denise, and Ricky Duke and wife Lisa, all of Statesville; three sisters, Barbara Puckett, Betty Thompson, both of Statesville, and Sharon Trent of Olin NC; six grandchildren; Kristen, Sean, Henry, Noah, Zoe and Kaedenze.
