Rodney Von Palmer

Rodney Von Palmer, 58, of S. Happy Hill Road, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at his home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Psalm 91 Church with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Palmer was born November 1, 1950, in Davidson County, to Cletus Jasper Palmer and Clatie Belle Potts Palmer. He was retired from Billings Freight and had been a volunteer fireman with the West Lexington Fire Department for 20 years. He was an avid golfer and hunter. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are his wife, Sedena Owens Palmer of the home; son, Rodney Palmer Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Lexington; daughter, Wendy Carol Palmer of Lexington; two grandchildren, Harley Nicole Palmer and Allison Sheree Bailey; his father of Lexington; and brother, Donald Lane Palmer of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
