Rodney Grant Young

Rodney Young, age 55 of Park Lane, Lexington passed away suddenly Sunday morning at Lexington Medical Center. Memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at Second Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brian Rummage and Rev. Bill Sosebee officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 pm prior to the service in the fellowship hall. Rodney was born in Davidson County December 27, 1957 to Bobby Grant and Tanger Story Young. He was Vice President of Young Graphics and owner of Speedy Designs; member of Second Presbyterian Church and choir member. His love for music was evident as he was a past member of Jump Band for 20 years and presently a member of Second Wind for the last 23 years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Beth Young in 2011 and his mother in law, Etta Ebert. Surviving are his wife Traci Ebert Young of the home; daughter Taylor Young of Asheville; sons, Josh Young, Spencer Young and Mitchell Young all of Lexington; grandson, Alexander Young; parents, Bobby and Tanger Young of Lexington; father in law, Jimmy Ebert of Winston Salem; sister in laws, Jann Shermer of Clemmons and Jill Eisel of W.
