Rogene Allred Pressley, 86, of Lexington, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at Alston Brook.
A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Jennifer Ginn officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Pressley was born October 28, 1935, in Davidson County to Oscar Allred and Viola Allred. Rogene loved being a mother and a grandmother. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Tyro. She gave of herself completely and selflessly and volunteered in multiple ministries. Rogene was a huge fan of the Carolina Tarheels and the Atlanta Braves. She was fiercely independent and loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed, but we will see her again!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald Edward Pressley; and three brothers, Dean Allred, Bobby Allred, and James “Peewee” Allred.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Rodney Pressley (Tammy) of Lexington, and Timothy Pressley (Monica) of Archdale; four grandchildren, Emily Pressley Byerly (Adam), Jordan Pressley (Tawny), Katelyn Pressley Tucker (Austin), and Nathaniel Pressley; and five great-grandchildren, Ahlyssa Pressley, Adalynn Pressley, Sophie Pressley, Easton Tucker, and Finley Tucker.
Also surviving is her loving companion, William “Bill” Swicegood; and her sister in-law and best friend, Mary Potts.
